For over 100 years, first as the Board of Ministerial Relief and then as the administrator of the Pension Plan, it has sought to under gird the church and its ministry. Change and growth of the Pension Fund have continually broadened and deepened its ministry. Through both contractual and gift programs, the Pension Fund seeks to serve the total church and its ministry.

A list of individuals, congregations and other organiza-tions who have made gifts and commitments to the Heartbeats of Faith Capital Campaign is included in the Remembering the Gifts gift bulletin. The Campaign is growing every day. Communications, brochures, a video and a web site are now being shared widely. This Fall, congregations will be encouraged to include Heartbeats of Faith during their Ministry Appreciation Celebrations. We encourage your prayerful and generous support of the fund that will enable new health and wellness programs for the benefit of clergy and lay employees of the Church. New 403(b) Regulations & The Pension Plan - The IRS has published sweeping new regulations for 403(b) plans that will require a more active role for employers in monitoring 403(b) arrangements and compliance with the applicable rules. The regulations will require full compliance with the new rules beginning January 1, 2009. To address these complications, the Pension Fund will aggregate all participating employers in the Pension Plan and TDRA, if the organization chooses the Pension Fund as its sole vendor for contributions after January 1, 2009.
